Role overview

Lightspeed, a Montreal-based commerce platform company, is seeking a Business Strategy Analyst to support enterprise and business strategy initiatives. In this role, you will conduct analyses, develop strategic insights, and help cross-functional teams make data-driven decisions as the company enters its next growth phase and embarks on a multi-year transformation.

Key responsibilities

Support business and enterprise strategy initiatives through research, analysis, and development of strategic perspectives, including contributing to annual strategic planning and regular strategy review cycles.
Break down complex business problems and perform both quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform decision-making.
Design models, synthesize data, and prepare materials to support executive-level decisions.
Contribute to developing cost-benefit analyses, plans, and recommendations for strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support implementation of key initiatives.
Monitor progress and performance of initiatives against key milestones and objectives.

Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to structure problems and work effectively with ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
Comfort working with data and translating analytical results into clear, relevant insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and functions.
Proactive approach, willingness to learn, and ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
Working fluency in English, as this is required for this international role.
