Role overview

Etihad Airways seeks experienced B2 Aircraft Engineers with Base Maintenance certification to support the airline’s expansion under its Journey 2030 strategy. You will perform and certify critical maintenance activities across a diverse, advanced fleet while leading and mentoring Aircraft Technicians to ensure safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

Certify your own work and that of other technicians after verifying all tasks meet approved technical data and authorization scope.
Lead and provide guidance to Aircraft Technicians, ensuring they follow safe and effective working practices at all times.
Perform aircraft maintenance activities in full compliance with company procedures, health and safety regulations, and airport standards.
Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on schedule according to company requirements.
Prepare and verify all materials, parts, tools, equipment, and documentation before each shift begins.
Maintain clean, hazard-free work environments and equipment areas to prevent Foreign Object Damage and ensure operational safety.
Conduct inspections on Ground Support Equipment and company vehicles, completing required checklists and maintenance forms.
Promote a culture of safety and positive reporting, actively following procedures outlined in the Safety & Quality Management Manual.

Requirements

High School Leaving Certificate, Diploma, University Degree, or College Degree.
Valid Aircraft Maintenance License convertible to GCAA, such as EASA Part-66 or ICAO Type certification.
Minimum 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a Base or Light Maintenance environment.
Minimum 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad aircraft types (Level 3 rating) — Airbus 320, 330 NEO, 350, 380, Boeing 777, or 787 — with valid company authorization.
Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork abilities with commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
