Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, is recruiting cadets for a structured pilot training programme in Abu Dhabi. This is an opportunity to join the airline during a period of growth and transformation, with training designed to prepare you for a successful flying career.

Key responsibilities

Complete a two-year structured training programme comprising ground school, flight simulations, and practical flying training delivered within the UAE and overseas.
Adhere to the airline’s ‘Safety First, Always’ approach by maintaining strict compliance with safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, and all regulatory requirements throughout your training.
Progress through flight training milestones including the License Skill Test, line flying under supervision, and ultimately obtaining your Airline Transport Pilot License.
Work with highly experienced instructor pilots who will provide mentoring and support throughout your training journey.
Develop both personal and professional capabilities to meet the standards required for commercial pilot operations.

Requirements

Be a UAE National aged 18 to 29 years old at the time of application.
Have a minimum height of 160 centimetres.
Hold a high school diploma with an overall minimum grade of 80 percent including passing grades in Mathematics and Physics, or possess a higher education qualification such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Demonstrate English language proficiency with a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or a minimum EmSAT English score of 1250.
Have completed or hold a permanent exemption from UAE National Service at the time of application (males only).
Show a genuine passion for aviation with commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Possess strong command of both written and spoken English.
