Role overview

Everpure (formerly Pure Storage) is a data platform company that helps enterprises discover, classify, and contextualize data across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments to improve AI accuracy and reduce risk. As a Consulting Systems Engineer on the Data Intelligence team, you will provide pre-sales technical leadership to support the sales organization across multiple Australian locations, delivering expertise throughout the entire customer journey.

Key responsibilities

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, prospects, and channel partners throughout the sales cycle.
Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, business drivers, security challenges, compliance requirements, and decision-making processes.
Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations, workshops, executive briefings, and presentations aligned with customer business outcomes.
Design, deploy, and manage proof-of-concept engagements to ensure successful technical validation and customer adoption.
Collaborate with Account Executives, Account Managers, and channel partners to develop technical sales strategies for complex enterprise deals.
Lead or contribute significantly to responses for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Deliver partner enablement and technical training to resellers, integrators, and strategic partners, and represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
8 or more years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or related customer-facing technical roles with expertise in leading technical sales motions.
Deep understanding of enterprise architecture and implementation across multi-tiered, distributed, web-based, cloud, and hybrid computing solutions.
Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments including AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMware, plus familiarity with modern web and cloud-native architectures such as LAMP stack, microservices, containers, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Experience with data discovery, classification, DSPM, DLP, SIEM, SOAR, governance, privacy, and compliance solutions.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, governance, privacy, risk management, and security operations concepts.
Experience with SQL, NoSQL, structured databases, cloud-native databases, and scripting technologies such as Python.
