As a Senior Manager in Corporate Development at Coinbase, you will lead the company’s inorganic growth strategy by executing mergers and acquisitions, managing strategic investments, and analyzing market opportunities. Working directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll help advance Coinbase’s mission to increase economic freedom while positioning the company at the forefront of the evolving crypto and blockchain landscape.

Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end execution of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, including deal sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence coordination, and integration planning alongside senior team members.
Conduct comprehensive market research and translate findings into strategic recommendations that inform company direction and product strategy.
Develop competitive intelligence on key industry players, analyze their relative strengths and weaknesses, and communicate actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Partner with senior team members to cultivate relationships with cross-functional executives and drive high-priority strategic initiatives across the organization.
Build and maintain relationships with startups, investors, and ecosystem participants to identify emerging opportunities and keep Coinbase informed of market developments.
Enhance Corporate Development team operations by improving processes and contributing to recruiting and developing team members.

Requirements

At least 8 years of professional experience in investment banking, top-tier management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, private equity, or venture capital.
Proven success leading mergers, acquisitions, or strategic investment transactions from start to finish, with demonstrated competency in financial modeling, due diligence execution, and deal structuring.
Ability to analyze complex market data and synthesize findings into clear, actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
Bachelor’s degree and deep intellectual curiosity about crypto, blockchain technology, and digital assets.
Responsible use of generative AI tools while maintaining appropriate human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs that improve workflow efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
