Cohere is building frontier AI models for developers and enterprises. As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will contribute directly to improving the quality and performance of large language models by labeling, ranking, and correcting German language data. Your work will help ensure these AI systems understand and generate language accurately across diverse use cases.

Key responsibilities

Label and rank machine learning datasets with advanced proficiency in German while maintaining data integrity and quality standards.
Audit and correct inaccuracies in language data, which may include text, images, JSON, TSV/CSV, and Markdown formats.
Complete reading and text-based tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Evaluate responses in German and assess which options best align with project guidelines and preferences.
Identify opportunities for improving data quality and model performance, sharing recommendations with the team.
Provide feedback to cross-functional team members on German language-related matters.
Maintain meticulous precision while performing repetitive language data tasks.

Requirements

Native or near-native proficiency in German with excellent command of English.
Expert-level reading and writing skills in German, demonstrable through assessment.
Basic familiarity with JSON, TSV, CSV, and Markdown data formats.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work output.
Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
High tolerance for repetitive tasks and excellent time management skills.
Curiosity about technology and creative problem-solving approach; a reliable laptop required.
