Role overview
Analog is developing robotics, spatial intelligence, and immersive experiences that operate in hospitals, cities, and live events. As a DevOps/Platform Engineer, you’ll own the infrastructure and delivery systems that enable multiple engineering teams to ship microservices across Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, and Unity applications reliably and at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions across microservices and Unity applications.
- Create reusable pipeline templates that standardize workflows across repositories and prevent teams from duplicating effort.
- Integrate security practices into the delivery process, including SAST/DAST scanning, dependency and secret scanning, and SBOM generation.
- Optimize build performance through intelligent caching strategies and parallelization techniques.
- Develop and refine release automation systems covering versioning, approvals, migrations, feature flags, and release notes.
- Work directly with engineering teams to improve their local development experience, preview environments, and pull request checks.
- Build observability infrastructure around pipelines and deployments with metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards.
- Respond to deployment and release incidents and resolve issues as they arise.
- Monitor the broader DevOps and platform tooling landscape to keep the technology stack current and effective.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience in DevEx, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash combined with proficiency in Node, Go, or Python.
- Hands-on, in-depth experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Ability to debug issues across CI logs, build systems, and runtime environments.
- Practical experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes administration.
- Real-world experience deploying to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM and networking configuration.
- Experience writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code, preferably using Terraform.
What makes this role worth considering
The engineering culture here is flat with no bureaucratic layers between you and decision-making—if you see a better approach, you implement it directly. Your work has tangible impact: the pipelines you build support systems deployed in hospital robotics, live citywide spatial experiences, and holographic projects created with a professional motorsport team. This role requires you to be hands-on and present in Abu Dhabi, working alongside engineers in person rather than in a remote, asynchronous setup.
