Aramark is looking to hire a General Utility Worker (Kitchen General Helper) for the Hydro-Québec Manic-3 camp, as part of the partnership between the Pessamit Community and Aramark Québec.
Position Summary
Position: Kitchen General Helper
Location: Manic-3
Salary: $21.02/hour
Aramark offers a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation schedule. Transportation is provided by airplane from Montréal and Québec City airports, with a shuttle service available from Pessamit and Baie-Comeau to Manic-3. Employees are provided with meals and accommodation in a private room, with washer and dryer facilities available on site.
Job Responsibilities
The selected General Utility Worker will be responsible for:
- Washing, transporting, and storing dishes
- Performing general cleaning duties
- Maintaining the kitchen and equipment
- Assisting with food preparation as needed
- Meeting operational requirements
- Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs
- Following all applicable safety regulations
General Utility Worker Job Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in a remote camp environment (asset, not required)
- WHMIS certification (asset, not required)
- Good physical stamina to lift and carry objects
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude, honesty, and good judgment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently
Working Conditions & Schedule
- Full-time position
- Rotating shift: 14 days on / 14 days off
- 70 hours per week
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
- Remote camp environment at Manic-3
