Role overview

Geotab is seeking a Head of Rental & Leasing to lead the commercial success of its Rental and Leasing segment, which spans Car Rental and Leasing, Truck Rental and Leasing, and Equipment Rental. This leader will own product strategy, go-to-market execution, and commercial performance across these three sub-segments. Geotab is a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, processing billions of data points daily to help businesses manage fleets more efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

Define and execute product, go-to-market, and commercial strategy for the Rental and Leasing segment while driving measurable growth in market share, pipeline, revenue retention, and commercial outcomes.
Develop and maintain specialized expertise across all three rental and leasing sub-segments, translating customer needs into differentiated product strategy, positioning, and packaging.
Make strategic build, buy, and partner decisions by leveraging Geotab’s platform, solution building blocks, and Marketplace ecosystem to address market demands.
Build and lead a cross-functional team of product managers, developers, designers, and specialists, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development support.
Serve as the authoritative voice for rental and leasing customers within Geotab’s product organization, coordinating roadmap development and solution enablement across product domain teams.
Develop deep relationships with enterprise operators, customers, industry associations, and channel partners to establish feedback loops and strengthen market credibility.
Lead annual planning activities including product strategy, roadmap definition, headcount allocation, budget planning, and OKR development while tracking performance and reporting risks and opportunities to leadership.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in product or go-to-market roles within rental and leasing, fleet management, or commercial vehicle industry, including 3+ years with accountability for revenue or commercial outcomes and product development responsibilities.
A minimum of 5 years in leadership roles, including experience leading product development teams and 3+ years working with senior leadership in cross-functional commercial or product capacities.
Deep knowledge of the vehicle rental and leasing industry, including customer operations, adoption drivers, and competitive dynamics.
Strong product development, go-to-market, partner management, analytical, and business planning skills with the ability to translate market insights into measurable growth and adoption outcomes.
Excellent written, verbal, and bilingual communication skills combined with the ability to lead through influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to use data to guide decisions, manage competing priorities, and adapt workflows around emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
Comfort navigating change across a diverse channel ecosystem and working collaboratively across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Solutions Engineering, and Global Enablement functions.
