Role overview

Coinbase is seeking an IT Tier 2 Support Engineer to serve as the hands-on technology partner for its London office. In this in-office role, you will be responsible for keeping the office’s IT infrastructure running smoothly, supporting the team that provides frontline IT services across Coinbase’s global operations. You will troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms and drive improvements to employee technology experiences.

Key responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support for the London office, resolving hardware, software, networking, and audiovisual or conference room issues across macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Windows, and Android platforms.
Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding operations to ensure new employees are productive on their first day and departures are handled securely.
Maintain and improve IT documentation, including setup guides, troubleshooting runbooks, and knowledge base articles that reflect current systems and tools.
Coordinate with IT Procurement and local vendors to manage hardware logistics, supply chain processes, and office technology refresh cycles.
Lead first-line network and audiovisual troubleshooting, diagnosing issues clearly and escalating to specialized teams with actionable context.
Contribute to IT Operations scrum team projects that scale support capabilities and reduce manual effort across the global service desk.

Requirements

Minimum two years of experience in IT support, service desk, or endpoint engineering with hands-on experience supporting macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Windows, and Android in a corporate setting.
Working proficiency administering SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Atlassian Jira Service Management, Okta, Jamf, and Slack, with the ability to troubleshoot access, provisioning, and integration issues.
Mid-level networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting, with the ability to isolate connectivity issues and escalate with clear diagnostics.
Demonstrated root cause analysis methodology and a track record of identifying recurring issues and driving systemic fixes rather than temporary workarounds.
Experience coordinating with service vendors and IT procurement teams to manage hardware logistics, office buildouts, or supply chain workflows.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
