Role overview

Etihad Airways is seeking Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join its maintenance team in Abu Dhabi. As the UAE’s national airline, Etihad operates one of the world’s most advanced and diverse aircraft fleets and is executing an ambitious expansion strategy through its Journey 2030 programme.

Key responsibilities

Certify your own maintenance work and that of others, verifying compliance with approved data and authorized scope.
Lead and guide Aircraft Technicians to ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance.
Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on schedule according to company procedures.
Prepare all necessary materials, parts, tools, equipment, and documentation before the start of each shift.
Maintain a clean and hazard-free working environment to prevent foreign object damage and conduct daily inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles.
Provide technical guidance to technicians and actively promote a culture of safety and positive reporting across the team.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical capability and professional contribution.

Requirements

High school leaving certificate, diploma, or university or college degree.
Valid Aircraft Maintenance License that is either GCAA, EASA Part-66, or ICAO type convertible to GCAA.
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in line or base/light maintenance environments.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad aircraft type ratings at Level 3, covering types such as Airbus 320, 330 NEO, 350, 380, Boeing 777, or 787, with valid company authorization.
Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork mindset with demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
