Role overview

As a Media Associate, you will support the Media team at Web Summit, one of the world’s leading technology conference businesses. Your work will help shape the media experience at Web Summit’s global events, ensuring that influential journalists, reporters, and content creators from around the world engage with and cover these premier tech conferences.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate with journalists and media contacts on a daily basis to promote Web Summit events and encourage media attendance and coverage.
Support the facilitation of media experiences during Web Summit events, including managing press conferences, interviews, and live podcast sessions.
Assist in sourcing and identifying moderators for stage content and coordinate interview arrangements with speakers and media participants.
Track and analyse media coverage across multiple platforms to measure the impact and reach of Web Summit events.
Curate and highlight relevant content for attending media, helping to amplify key messages and announcements.
Collaborate with other Web Summit teams to maximise visibility and impact of event programming and speaker content.

Requirements

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese with strong English language skills.
Proven experience working in media relations, communications, or a similar role involving regular contact with journalists and media outlets.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills across different platforms and formats.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse media contacts.
