What You Will Be Doing

Your main task is to harvest mushrooms carefully so that quality and yield stay high. Your duties include:

Picking mushrooms by hand from the growing beds, using several passes.
Choosing which mushrooms to pick and which to leave to grow larger for better size, quality, and yield.
Making sure mushrooms meet the required size and stem length.
Trimming the roots to the correct length with a knife.
Sorting mushrooms by quality and size and placing them in the right containers, making sure punnets are the correct weight.
Positioning the elevating lorry to the right height, up to six feet from the ground.
Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and free of loose mushrooms.
Following the company’s harvesting procedures and completing other related duties.
