Role overview

Scale is seeking an experienced product leader to drive the creation and deployment of custom AI applications for government and government-backed organizations across the Middle East and beyond. The Global Public Sector team at Scale is rapidly expanding, working directly with clients to understand their challenges and build bespoke solutions powered by Scale’s GenAI Platform, a comprehensive system for developing, testing, and deploying advanced AI systems.

Key responsibilities

Conduct design workshops with government clients to define and shape custom AI solutions tailored to their specific needs.
Identify and scope new AI application opportunities across various government entities in the region.
Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, machine learning engineers, and operations staff through the development of AI applications and custom language models.
Engage regularly with end-users and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the team prioritizes work effectively.
Evaluate model performance by defining evaluation datasets and requirements, then review results and refine solutions accordingly.
Maintain awareness of current research and advancements in applied AI and custom large language model development.
Provide progress updates to clients and senior leadership within the International Public Sector division.

Requirements

Strong grasp of software engineering principles and practices, with ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
Experience with AI and machine learning application development and the ability to think critically about problem-solving approaches.
