Role overview
Jobber is seeking a Product Marketing Manager, Operations to lead marketing strategy for a core part of the platform. Jobber helps small home service businesses—plumbers, painters, landscapers, and similar trades—run their operations through software that handles quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payment collection. You’ll own positioning, go-to-market strategy, and customer adoption for the Operations portfolio, translating product capabilities into compelling reasons for service businesses to choose Jobber over competitors.
Key responsibilities
- Build deep understanding of how business owners, office teams, and field crews work by combining customer research, competitive analysis, win-loss feedback, and product data to identify unmet needs and adoption barriers.
- Develop differentiated customer stories that make value tangible through product demonstrations, customer evidence, and clear messaging across the entire buyer journey.
- Contribute customer insights about needs, willingness to pay, and competitive positioning to packaging and pricing decisions, and help sales and customer-facing teams select the right offering for each business.
- Own the go-to-market plan for your Operations portfolio in partnership with Product and commercial leads, including target customer identification, positioning, route to market, and success metrics, then coordinate readiness across Sales, Enablement, Demand Generation, and Lifecycle Marketing.
- Drive discovery and adoption after launch by partnering with Product, Lifecycle Marketing, Education, and Customer Success teams to help customers succeed and build lasting product habits.
- Equip Sales and Success teams with competitive positioning, customer proof points, product demos, and objection-handling frameworks, then feed marketplace insights back to Product and commercial partners.
- Maintain consistent messaging across campaigns, landing pages, product experiences, and customer conversations in collaboration with Demand Generation, Web, and Lifecycle Marketing teams.
- Connect your work to business outcomes such as conversion rates, higher-tier attachments, and adoption metrics by analyzing funnel and cohort data and partnering with Analytics on complex questions.
- Use AI hands-on for research synthesis, analysis, go-to-market execution, and repeatable workflows, verifying results and documenting processes for team reuse.
Requirements
- Proven track record in product marketing for software products, including developing strategy and positioning and owning initiatives from launch through post-launch learning.
- Strong storytelling and writing ability to translate complex functionality into clear customer benefits and present recommendations to both practitioners and senior leadership.
- Commercial judgment to understand competitive alternatives and switching barriers, and recommend how to reach target customers, differentiate offerings, and make practical investment trade-offs.
- Analytical confidence to frame business questions, access and interpret data independently, analyze funnel and cohort patterns, and distinguish observed results from causal relationships.
- Hands-on experience using AI to improve research, go-to-market execution, analysis, or team processes, with the ability to explain impact and verify results.
- Demonstrated ability to influence Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing partners without direct authority.
- Bonus experience with SMB software, vertical SaaS, field service or operational workflows; familiarity with home service businesses is helpful.
