Role overview

Halter is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Southern New South Wales to lead sales growth in the region. The company develops virtual fencing technology that allows farmers and graziers to manage livestock without traditional fencing, quad bikes, or dogs, enabling more productive and sustainable farming operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Set and manage sales quotas and commissions for the NSW sales team while overseeing sales capability and performance.
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior sales staff to support their professional growth and help them reach sales targets.
  • Source new leads and opportunities through cold calling, on-farm meetings, referrals, industry events and inbound inquiries.
  • Drive end-to-end sales activities including prospect screening, farm demonstrations, contract negotiations and deal closure to meet high growth targets.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure smooth post-sales handoff, successful implementation, customer satisfaction and account renewal.
  • Build and leverage industry relationships to establish Halter’s brand presence and gather customer feedback to inform product development.
  • Work with the team to optimise and evolve the sales process to increase speed, efficiency and predictability as the company scales.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of end-to-end sales experience with proven success in sourcing new prospects, securing initial meetings and creating sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing deals and achieving results in high-volume sales environments using value-based selling approaches.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate value propositions and persuade customers.
  • Results-driven mindset with exceptional time management skills and adaptability in fast-paced, high-stakes sales environments.
  • Experience in beef farming or the agricultural sector is highly desirable.
  • Background in technology-based sales is preferred.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification is beneficial but not essential.

What makes this role worth considering

Halter offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance through Medibank, six months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an annual $1000 self-development budget, wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave. The role provides an inclusive remuneration package with salary, benefits and employee stock ownership. You’ll be part of a growing team across NSW in an emerging market with significant expansion opportunity as virtual fencing regulation recently opened new territory for the company.
