Role overview
Analog is seeking a Robotics Engineer to join its advanced robotics team in Abu Dhabi. You will design, develop, and test intelligent robotic systems that integrate artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor fusion, and control algorithms. Working with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers, you will take robotic capabilities from concept through to real-world deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and integrate perception systems using computer vision, deep learning, and multimodal sensing approaches.
- Build real-time pipelines for detection, recognition, tracking, and scene understanding on embedded and edge devices.
- Design state estimation and localization algorithms, including SLAM and visual inertial odometry frameworks.
- Create and maintain sensor fusion pipelines that combine data from LiDAR, cameras, IMU, radar, and GNSS sensors.
- Develop control strategies ranging from PID and adaptive controllers to Model Predictive Control, and implement trajectory tracking and motion planning algorithms.
- Integrate perception, estimation, and control modules into complete robotic systems and conduct simulations and field validation tests.
- Optimize algorithms for real-time execution on various hardware platforms including CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in robotics engineering with demonstrated proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS or ROS2.
- Working knowledge of SLAM systems and LiDAR-based perception.
- Exposure to reinforcement learning algorithms in simulation or on physical robotic systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based robotics platforms such as AWS RoboMaker, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud Robotics.
- Proficiency with simulation tools including Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Webots, and visualization frameworks like RViz.
- Strong software engineering practices including version control with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization with Docker.
What makes this role worth considering
