As a Senior Data Engineer on the Financial Flows team, you will own the complete technical delivery of data pipelines, predictive models, and cloud infrastructure that power Kpler’s commodity finance analytics platform.

Key responsibilities

Take full technical ownership of end-to-end data pipelines that deliver real-time insights to market participants across global commodities markets.
Lead the modernization of the data foundation by spearheading the migration of production services to AWS.
Re-architect legacy calculation engines into clean, performant Python services.
Ensure the reliability and performance of mission-critical analytics infrastructure supporting commodity finance decisions.
Work at the intersection of quantitative research and cloud infrastructure to deliver actionable market insights.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer with demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining production data pipelines.
Strong proficiency in Python and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
Experience leading technical modernization or migration projects, preferably involving legacy system re-architecture.
Ability to work effectively across both quantitative research and infrastructure domains.
