Role overview
MultiBank Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain robust data infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytics across the organization. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and business teams to build scalable data pipelines that ensure information is accessible, reliable, and production-ready organization-wide.
Key responsibilities
- Design and construct highly scalable data pipelines optimized for machine learning models and analytical workloads
- Develop and maintain APIs for data access and integration with external data services
- Manage and optimize data storage solutions for structured and unstructured data, including relational databases, NoSQL systems, and object storage supporting multiple data formats
- Implement data quality monitoring and governance processes to maintain accuracy and availability across production systems
- Provide technical guidance to ML engineers on data architecture and collaborate on data-related challenges
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies while maintaining comprehensive documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional data engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala with expertise managing terabyte to petabyte-scale data
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Flink
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud platforms with AWS expertise
- Experience with API development, containerization tools, streaming platforms, and DevOps practices
