AI71 is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams building advanced artificial intelligence solutions in Abu Dhabi. The company develops secure, enterprise-ready AI applications designed to address complex challenges across multiple sectors. In this role, you will oversee engineers specializing in machine learning, natural language processing, and large language model technologies, while driving the technical strategy and execution of transformative AI projects.

Key responsibilities

Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team comprising front-end developers, back-end engineers, and machine learning specialists.
Drive the development and deployment of AI solutions leveraging large language models and next-generation AI technologies at scale.
Partner with clients to implement solutions within their existing technology infrastructure and conduct technical discussions to guide deployment decisions.
Establish and enforce best practices for AI model development, testing, and deployment across the organization.
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure effective delivery of complex AI initiatives.
Monitor emerging AI research and engineering methodologies to keep the organization at the forefront of industry innovation.
Contribute strategic input to the company’s overall AI direction and long-term product roadmap.
Build a team culture that prioritizes innovation, continuous professional development, and responsible AI practices.

Requirements

Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in AI, machine learning, or software engineering roles, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale, complex artificial intelligence projects from conception through production.
Expert-level knowledge in machine learning, deep learning techniques, and natural language processing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with large language model architectures and agentic AI orchestration frameworks such as Transformer-based models and Langgraph.
Strong programming proficiency in Python and working knowledge of machine learning frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Experience designing, building, or managing large-scale distributed computing systems and machine learning infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts to business and non-technical audiences.
