As a Senior Long-Term Oil Analyst based in London, you will develop and own Kpler’s strategic long-term outlook for crude oil, refined products, and alternative liquid fuels, combining macroeconomic forecasting with physical trade intelligence to inform major business decisions.

Key responsibilities

Create multi-decade strategic forecasts for crude oil, refined products, and alternative liquid fuels within the global energy system.
Bridge macroeconomic analysis and physical trade flows by integrating long-term supply, demand, and transition scenarios into Kpler’s proprietary cargo-level data.
Produce published analysis and strategic insights that guide executive leadership, commercial traders, and investment decision-makers.
Assess structural market transformations, capital allocation trends, and decarbonization pathways affecting the energy sector.
Drive high-visibility research that positions Kpler’s clients to anticipate and respond to evolving market dynamics.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise in oil market analysis, energy economics, or related energy sector research.
Strong capability to develop long-term strategic forecasts and scenario planning.
Proficiency in connecting macroeconomic trends to physical commodity flows and trade patterns.
Experience producing published analysis or research for senior decision-makers, traders, or investors.
Understanding of energy transition, decarbonization, and alternative fuel markets.
