Role overview

Ziina, a fintech platform, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead infrastructure and developer experience initiatives. You will own the systems that enable the engineering team to build and deploy reliably at scale, working across multiple regions with a focus on performance, reliability, and developer enablement.

Key responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting high-performance applications deployed across multiple regions.
Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines and release processes to ensure fast, safe, and predictable shipping.
Implement infrastructure as code and automation across all environments to maintain consistency and eliminate manual work.
Strengthen system observability, monitoring, and incident response capabilities to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Reduce operational overhead and improve platform stability as the company scales.
Provide platform systems and self-service tools that enable engineering teams to work efficiently.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE with a strong infrastructure and developer experience focus.
Deep expertise with cloud services, particularly AWS, and hands-on proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, with understanding of microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog.
Comfort with on-call responsibilities and demonstrated success improving incident response practices.
Ability to leverage current AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity.
Based in or willing to relocate to the UAE.
