Role overview

Tamara is a leading fintech platform operating across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait, serving millions of users and partnering with major global and regional brands. As a Senior Product Manager for the Loan Management System, you will take ownership of building and evolving a core lending platform that supports Tamara’s credit operations and business expansion.

Key responsibilities

Define and communicate the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Loan Management System.
Lead structured product discovery to evaluate multiple approaches—whether building a new system, extending open-source platforms, or integrating existing solutions—and make informed trade-off decisions aligned with business goals.
Drive the end-to-end development of the LMS from inception, or work to modularize and enhance existing open-source platforms to meet organizational needs.
Work independently with engineering, operations, credit risk, compliance, finance, and cross-vertical business teams to align requirements and deliver customer value.
Translate product strategy into clear requirements, prioritize ruthlessly, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Build the LMS with scalability, reliability, and regulatory compliance as core design principles.
Manage expectations at senior leadership level, ensuring alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.

Requirements

Seven to ten years of product management experience, including at least four years working in fintech, lending, or financial systems.
Strong background in Loan Management Systems, Core Banking Platforms, or Lending Infrastructure.
Proven track record of building complex financial platforms either from scratch or by extending and enhancing open-source solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, discovery, and structured thinking skills applied to product challenges.
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication abilities to influence teams across multiple disciplines.
Experience thriving in early-stage, fast-paced environments with high levels of ownership and autonomy.
Familiarity with the complete loan lifecycle, including disbursement, repayments, rescheduling, collections, and settlements.
