Role overview

Thinkific is a learning commerce platform that combines community, courses, and content with commerce capabilities. As Senior Product Manager for Acquire and Monetize, you will own the strategic vision and execution of multiple product lines that enable customers to sell, earn, and scale their businesses, with a primary focus on the Thinkific Commerce product—a key revenue driver and competitive differentiator for the platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Commerce product, integrating market insights and customer needs across payments, checkout, subscriptions, pricing, and tax management.
  • Deliver high-quality, depth-focused solutions that fully solve customer problems rather than shipping partial features, maintaining a high bar for quality and completeness.
  • Own a broad product portfolio including payment processing integrations, pricing and packaging execution, customer onboarding, and website building features.
  • Leverage AI-first approaches to increase the scope and quality of what you can deliver, working alongside engineers to keep pace with development velocity.
  • Think end-to-end across retention and acquisition, scoping, launch considerations, in-product communication, and team readiness to ensure seamless upgrades and maximum customer value.
  • Maintain deep customer connections through regular conversations and engagement, translating customer needs and support signals into clear problems worth solving.
  • Drive measurable outcomes by defining success metrics, running experiments, and tracking impact on revenue, conversion, retention, and customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to ship initiatives and continuously improve team processes.

Requirements

  • At least six years of product management experience in mid-size companies.
  • Minimum two years of direct product management experience with commerce products.
  • Proven track record of driving both product strategy and execution with measurable business impact, particularly in monetization or commerce domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, planning rollouts that account for pricing, user experience, migration, and customer communication.
  • Experience shipping changes to live products that required customer adoption, with a focus on quality and solving problems comprehensively.
  • Strong customer-obsession grounded in Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks and direct customer engagement.
