Role overview
Analog is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to join its advanced robotics team in Abu Dhabi. You will design, develop, and deploy intelligent robotic systems that combine artificial intelligence, computer vision, perception, estimation, sensor fusion, and control algorithms. Working across a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and product developers, you will take robotic capabilities from initial concept through real-world deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and integrate perception systems using computer vision, deep learning, and multimodal sensing approaches.
- Build and maintain sensor fusion pipelines that combine data from LiDAR, cameras, IMU, radar, and GNSS sensors.
- Implement probabilistic filtering techniques including Kalman filters, extended and unscented Kalman filters, and particle filters to enable robust estimation under uncertainty.
- Integrate estimation, perception, and control modules into robotic systems while ensuring seamless hardware and software interoperability.
- Conduct simulations, validation testing, and large-scale field trials to evaluate system performance.
- Optimize algorithms to run in real time on CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams working in hardware, embedded systems, and software development.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics and artificial intelligence development.
- Hands-on experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS or ROS2.
- Practical knowledge of SLAM and LiDAR-based perception systems.
- Experience deploying reinforcement learning algorithms in both simulation environments and on physical robots.
- Familiarity with cloud-based robotics platforms including AWS RoboMaker, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud Robotics.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Webots, and visualization frameworks like RViz.
- Strong software engineering practices including version control with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker.
What makes this role worth considering
You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge robotics research and practical deployment, staying current with advances in robotics, AI, perception, estimation, and control systems while translating novel research into applied solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced sensor systems and real-time algorithm optimization on a variety of hardware platforms.
