Role overview

This Senior Specialist, Sales Engineering position is based in Dubai and focuses on delivering technical leadership and guidance to clients throughout the MENA region during the entire sales lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough upfront qualification of merchant technical needs and infrastructure requirements.
  • Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert, supporting the Sales team through all pre-sales phases.
  • Design, prepare, and lead technical and commercial workshops for prospective merchants.
  • Provide critical technical and solution design inputs for high-value proposals and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Translate product, business, and technical requirements into concrete, viable, and efficient solution designs.
  • Drive improvement of solution design quality and documentation for complex merchant solutions.
  • Maintain deep industry expertise to design best-in-class, bespoke solutions tailored to client needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre-Sales Consultant.
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical client-facing role with proficiency in API-based integration methods and related tools.
  • Knowledge of at least one common front-end technology (pure JavaScript, React, Angular, or similar) and one back-end technology (Java, .NET, Python, Node, or equivalent).
  • In-depth payments industry exposure with understanding of related rules, regulations, and payment schemes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon into business language.
  • Commercially-minded approach with previous exposure to RFI and RFP processes.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize shifting workloads and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
