Role overview

AI71 is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to guide the technical design and delivery of its artificial intelligence platform. This hands-on leadership position combines deep technical expertise with people leadership, requiring someone who can architect scalable systems while mentoring and directing engineering teams across multiple product areas.

Key responsibilities

Define and own system architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms that meet enterprise requirements.
Lead technical design reviews and align delivery teams with long-term engineering vision and objectives.
Mentor and provide technical direction to engineers at all levels across multiple squads or product teams.
Establish engineering standards, code review practices, and quality benchmarks across the organization.
Translate business requirements into executable technical plans and deliver projects on time and within scope.
Oversee system performance, monitoring, and reliability while collaborating with DevSecOps on CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
Work with Product Managers and AI/ML engineers to assess technical feasibility and shape product roadmaps.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Between 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, with 3–5+ years in a technical leadership or architect-level role.
Proven experience building AI-powered or machine learning-enabled applications.
Strong expertise in backend systems development, particularly using Python, and hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, relational and non-relational databases, and API design.
Demonstrated track record leading code reviews and maintaining high engineering standards.
