Role overview

As a Solutions Consultant at Xero, you will serve as a technical advisor and strategic partner to accounting practice firms, working closely with our sales team to design custom solutions tailored to their specific needs. You will translate complex client requirements into scalable workflow strategies using the Xero platform, helping firms maximize value and drive long-term adoption among accountants and bookkeepers.

Key responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions and solution scoping exercises in collaboration with Account Executives to understand partner requirements.
Design and deliver customized product demonstrations that address specific workflow challenges faced by accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Guide new practice partners through cloud implementation, workflow mapping, and early adoption training to ensure successful transitions.
Provide expert technical support during sales cycles to address operational roadblocks and overcome client objections.
Share market insights with internal teams to inform product development while supporting partners in designing tailored technical strategies for growth.

Requirements

Operational experience gained directly within an accounting or bookkeeping practice environment.
Proven track record in consultative problem-solving, pre-sales, or technical solution design within complex business environments.
Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations to diverse audiences.
Deep familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms and knowledge of broader practice workflow software ecosystems.
Practical experience or comfort using modern productivity technologies, including AI tools, to build efficient solutions.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with confidence navigating ambiguity and partnering effectively across internal and external teams.
