Role overview

Wealthsimple is seeking a Staff Content Designer to lead content strategy and execution for its investing products. As Canada’s leading financial innovator, Wealthsimple serves over 4 million Canadians and manages more than $169 billion in assets under administration across managed investing, trading, cryptocurrency, tax filing, and other financial services.

Key responsibilities

Write and refine content for complex investing concepts such as options, margin trading, predictions, perpetuals, and futures in ways that serve both new and experienced investors.
Integrate artificial intelligence tools throughout the product development lifecycle, from prototyping and research to shipping code changes.
Partner with product and design teams early in project development to shape product direction and positioning on major initiatives.
Create templates, patterns, content standards, and workflows that enable the team to scale content production while maintaining quality.
Collaborate across Marketing, Brand, Legal, and Compliance to ensure consistent and unified messaging across all customer touchpoints.
Mentor and coach team members on content best practices and techniques to improve overall team capabilities.

Requirements

Seven or more years of experience working as a content designer or UX writer at a senior or staff level.
Demonstrated ability to master unfamiliar subjects deeply and become a subject matter expert, though prior finance knowledge is not required.
Proven experience leveraging artificial intelligence to increase personal impact or empower others.
Track record developing content standards or integrating product content best practices into design systems.
Capacity to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, knowing when to prioritize detail and when to move quickly across multiple competing priorities.
Experience mentoring and coaching others through best practices and techniques.
Portfolio containing three or more case studies demonstrating how you used writing and design to improve user experience and drive business results.
