As a Staff DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer, you will define and own the infrastructure architecture, reliability strategy, and scalability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments in a mission-critical, security-sensitive setting. This is a leadership role where you drive how infrastructure is built, operated, and scaled company-wide, not simply implement existing strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the infrastructure architecture strategy across hybrid cloud environments including GCP, OCI, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Design and evolve Kubernetes platforms to deliver multi-region scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency at scale.
- Establish Infrastructure as Code and GitOps standards across all environments and drive adoption across the organization.
- Build and scale observability systems including metrics, logging, and tracing to support proactive reliability and system monitoring.
- Lead efforts to meet and exceed SLA, SLO, and error budget targets across the platform.
- Own and improve incident management processes, conduct postmortems, and implement systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Champion security, compliance, and reliability best practices including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across DevOps and infrastructure domains.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Linux systems internals, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, firewalls), and Kubernetes design and operations.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools and solid programming or scripting skills in languages such as Python or Go.
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale and working with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, containerization, Docker, observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana, and common datastores including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
- Experience in fintech or highly regulated environments is strongly valued, along with familiarity with multi-region and high-availability architectures.
