- Scale the operational capacity and effectiveness of the Modeling TPM team in partnership with the Modeling TPM lead, maintaining a lean function amid growing portfolio complexity.
- Manage programs spanning multiple timeframes, from long-horizon initiatives lasting quarters or years to short-term high-impact challenges requiring rapid response.
- Partner with leaders across the Modeling organization on efforts to design, train, and improve core generative models.
- Lead cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives, coordinating with teams including Product, Engineering, Legal, Platform, Infrastructure, Policy, and Finance.
- Map dependencies and risks, ensure smooth execution across programs, and communicate status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Clarify evolving scope, manage resource allocation in response to shifting priorities, and facilitate communication of priorities and knowledge across the Modeling organization.
Requirements
- At least five to ten years of experience as a Technical Program Manager combined with five or more years of direct work in AI and machine learning, with strong preference for foundation model development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning with particular expertise in Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models, plus bonus experience with Multimodal AI.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, low-structure environments with pragmatic, hands-on problem-solving at both tactical and strategic levels.
- Personal understanding of the distinct challenges of managing AI and machine learning projects compared to traditional software program management.
- Experience managing projects and programs that involve cross-functional business coordination, such as working with Finance on reporting or Policy on regulatory matters.
