Role overview
AI71 is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support ASK, an agentic platform enabling enterprises and governments to search data, generate content, and coordinate multi-agent workflows. This role sits within AI71’s lean TPM team, which functions as a force multiplier across Engineering and Product rather than a reporting layer. You will balance embedded support for one or two delivery teams with ownership of cross-functional strategic initiatives that span multiple teams and drive organizational progress.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Designers, Software Engineers, ML Engineers, and DevOps to clarify priorities, align direction, and define scope for ongoing delivery.
- Work with embedded teams to deliver projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards, reviewing PRDs and technical designs to identify dependencies and risks early.
- Own and drive at least one complex cross-functional program end-to-end, bringing together stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and leadership to execute initiatives tied to organizational growth.
- Orchestrate work across multiple teams and use soft power to influence the organization, challenge existing approaches, and help teams improve their ways of working.
- Contribute to building the TPM function itself by facilitating retrospectives, designing working rituals, and shaping internal and external representation of the team’s work.
- Support AI71’s hiring and branding efforts for the TPM and Engineering functions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or a closely related role coordinating technical delivery in fast-paced environments.
- Background in Engineering Management, technical product management, or production-related roles; an engineering background is highly valued.
- Ability to read code and critique technical designs, though hands-on coding is not required.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and comfort operating in environments where processes are still evolving, with the ability to shape function rather than follow established playbooks.
- Technical curiosity around AI concepts, including familiarity with or eagerness to learn LLMs, agents, evaluations, RAG, and orchestration patterns.
- Proven ownership of complex programs that would not have shipped without your direct involvement and influence.
- Strong ability to influence without formal authority, provide constructive pushback while maintaining credibility, and connect dots around cross-team dependencies and organizational bottlenecks.
What makes this role worth considering
The TPM team is intentionally lean and operates as a close-knit group where you can shape how the function develops as it grows. You will work across both embedded delivery teams and strategic cross-functional initiatives, exposing you to varied contexts and enabling continuous growth through ongoing feedback and diverse responsibilities rotated among team members. Prior experience with agentic systems, AI platforms, or enterprise SaaS is valued, though candidates with transferable backgrounds and genuine interest in the role are encouraged to apply.
