Account Receivable Specialist (Construction – UAE)

Role overview

The Account Receivable Specialist manages the complete receivables cycle for construction projects within an international engineering firm. This position ensures accurate and timely billing processes while maintaining strong relationships with clients and coordinating across project and finance departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full receivables cycle for construction projects, from billing through collection
• Prepare and process accurate billing documentation aligned with construction contracts
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients to ensure timely payment
• Manage and track variations orders and other contract modifications affecting billing
• Coordinate with project teams and finance department on receivables matters
• Liaise with consultants and main contractors regarding payment and billing inquiries

Requirements

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, including LPOs and subcontract agreements
• Experience working with consultants and main contractors in the UAE market
• Solid knowledge of variation orders and contract change management
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manage receivables documentation
