Role overview

Geotab is seeking an AI Solutions Developer to design, build, and operate custom AI applications and automated workflows for the Global Enablement team. As a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, Geotab processes billions of data points daily and leverages machine learning to help customers optimize fleet operations, enhance driver safety, and improve productivity.

Key responsibilities

Architect and deploy custom AI agents and automation solutions using Python, LangChain, and AutoGen to address complex business challenges within Global Enablement.
Build retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems that integrate large language models with PostgreSQL, Pinecone, Weaviate, and other vector databases to enable secure interaction with proprietary data.
Develop full-stack AI applications including user interfaces, backend services, and secure API integrations for both internal and external users.
Write clean, maintainable code for content generation, localization, and multimedia processing automations while adhering to software development best practices including version control and testing.
Design and implement RESTful API integrations to connect AI agents with business systems, learning platforms, knowledge repositories, and third-party tools.
Establish engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, AI evaluation processes, and security guardrails to keep solutions reliable and cost-efficient.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate business requirements and learning objectives into technical specifications, and partner with IT and GenAI platform teams to ensure alignment with company infrastructure.

Requirements

Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain and AutoGen.
Knowledge of retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems and integration with vector databases and large language models.
Experience building backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs with attention to security and scalability.
Familiarity with version control, code review processes, CI/CD pipelines, and testing methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical capabilities, limitations, and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to translate loosely defined requirements into precise technical specifications with disciplined documentation practices.
Commitment to staying current with developments in AI and machine learning technologies.
