Associate Director - D Sell Portfolio Management

Role overview

Aldar is seeking an Associate Director to lead portfolio-wide planning, governance and performance management across the D-Sell development portfolio. This role drives the establishment of integrated portfolio plans, monitors delivery performance across all projects, ensures compliance with governance frameworks, and delivers executive reporting that supports decision-making across Aldar’s development pipeline.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain integrated portfolio programmes across all D-Sell projects while driving planning consistency across delivery pods.
Monitor critical milestones, dependencies, programme health, schedule performance and key performance indicators across the entire portfolio.
Produce executive portfolio dashboards and performance reports that track portfolio health and delivery status.
Review Gateway submissions to ensure planning completeness, programme readiness and compliance with Development Management planning standards.
Coordinate executive governance forums, portfolio reviews and reporting cycles while providing independent oversight of portfolio planning quality.
Facilitate cross-functional alignment across Design, Delivery, Procurement, Commercial and Finance to address programme priorities, sequencing and critical dependencies.
Lead the portfolio planning function and team, fostering high-performance culture and continuous improvement in planning processes and methodologies.

Requirements

Minimum 14 years of experience in programme, portfolio or project controls within real estate development or major infrastructure projects.
Minimum 6 years of experience leading portfolio planning functions.
Proficiency in programme management tools including Primavera P6 and MS Project, alongside portfolio reporting and risk management methodologies.
Experience with Power BI, Oracle or AI-enabled reporting tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, with a Master’s degree preferred.
PMP or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Strategic thinking capability combined with excellent communication skills and ability to build partnerships across stakeholder groups.
