Role overview

Cohere is a security-focused enterprise AI company building foundation models and products to solve real-world business challenges for organizations deploying AI systems. The Strategy & Business Operations team seeks a Business Operations Lead to support critical decision-making at the executive level and drive cross-functional priorities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with leaders across product, go-to-market, research, and engineering functions to influence strategic decisions and build organizational consensus.
Analyze and optimize the company’s pricing and packaging strategies to balance customer appeal with profitability.
Develop financial models and conduct detailed analyses to evaluate new and existing business opportunities.
Support corporate development initiatives including fundraising, strategic partnerships, investor relations, and merger and acquisition activities.
Perform market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and uncover growth and innovation opportunities.

Requirements

Three to four years of experience at top-tier investment banking or investing firms, ideally focused on software, technology, or digital infrastructure; or two to three years at a top-tier consulting firm with a software or technology focus, plus additional experience in business operations, product management, or investing.
Technical background such as a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field, or relevant software engineering internship experience.
Strong communication skills with a high-ownership mentality and bias toward action.
Problem-solving ability at an advanced level who can operate independently and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
