Role overview

This is a CAD Supervisor and Deputy CAD Manager position with a multinational corporation operating in the air-filtration systems manufacturing sector in Abu Dhabi. You will lead a CAD team while contributing to the design and development of industrial products for a established manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coach a CAD design team on industrial and mechanical projects.
Oversee the design of modular steel buildings and associated steel support structures for manufacturing applications.
Direct 3D CAD modeling work using industry-standard software and tools.
Ensure designs align with production processes, fabrication capabilities and commercial objectives.
Apply knowledge of sheet metal, welding and machining techniques to inform design decisions.
Collaborate across departments to translate technical and commercial requirements into viable design solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent professional experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge.
Minimum six years of experience with 3D industrial CAD design and modeling.
At least two years of hands-on experience managing and coaching a design team.
Demonstrated expertise in designing modular steel structures and heavy industrial fabrication projects.
Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter software platforms.
Strong understanding of sheet metal, welding and machining processes and their impact on design feasibility.
Fluent English communication skills.
