Al Ghad Charter School, part of Aldar Education, is looking for a Career and University Guidance Counsellor to join its team for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students and helping them prepare for life after school. You’ll guide students with university applications, career planning, subject selection, scholarships, and future opportunities while working closely with parents and teachers.

What You’ll Do
As a University Guidance Counsellor, your responsibilities will include:
- Help students explore career options based on their interests, strengths, and goals.
- Guide students in choosing universities in the UAE and abroad.
- Support students with university applications, personal statements, and recommendation letters.
- Assist students with scholarship opportunities and admission requirements.
- Help students choose subjects that match their future career plans.
- Organize university fairs, career days, workshops, and guidance events.
- Meet regularly with students and parents to discuss academic and career progress.
- Build relationships with universities and other educational institutions.
- Support gifted students and those with additional learning needs by helping them find suitable pathways.
- Keep records of student progress and application deadlines.
- Take part in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.
Requirements
To apply for this position, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7 or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience in school counselling or a similar counselling role.
- Teaching experience is also accepted if it meets the school’s requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and planning abilities.
- The ability to build trust with students and parents.
- A professional attitude with strong confidentiality and ethics.
