Role overview

Etihad Airways is looking for a Data Analyst to develop and maintain their modern data and analytics environment using Databricks and Azure. You will design scalable data pipelines, analyze large complex datasets, and provide insights that drive business decisions while optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.

Key responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures within Databricks and Azure environments.
Ingest, transform and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to support business needs.
Develop datasets and analytical solutions that enable business intelligence, reporting, analytics and data science initiatives.
Analyze Azure and Databricks consumption patterns to identify cost optimization opportunities and improve resource efficiency.
Create dashboards and visualizations that translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights for stakeholders.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.
Automate manual data processes, monitor pipeline performance and continuously improve data quality and platform reliability.

Requirements

At least four years of professional experience in data engineering, data analytics or data platform roles.
Hands-on experience with Databricks BI and visualization tools, ideally including Databricks Genie.
Demonstrated practical experience with Azure FinOps and cloud cost optimization, including cost analysis and recommendations.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks for building and maintaining production data pipelines.
Strong Python and SQL skills for data engineering and analytical work.
Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling and data quality principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
