Role overview

Coinbase is seeking a Finance & Strategy Analyst to join the Product Finance FP&A team and take ownership of the financial analysis across several key revenue streams. You will develop and maintain the financial models that support decision-making for Consumer Trading, Developer, and Stablecoin products, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities

Own the forecasting and monthly variance analysis for Consumer Trading revenue, reconciling actual results against projections on a regular cadence.
Manage complete financial deliverables for Developer and Stablecoin products, including revenue forecasting and operating expense budget tracking.
Build and sustain driver-based financial models that enable analysis across all assigned revenue and expense lines.
Proactively investigate financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities before being asked to do so.
Lead the month-end close process for your product areas, performing detailed variance analysis and collaborating with Accounting to maintain data quality.
Present financial findings during business reviews, distilling complex data into actionable recommendations for product, operations, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements

Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or similar analytical work, with demonstrated ability to build driver-based revenue and expense models independently.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL for data analysis, plus familiarity with planning tools such as Anaplan, NetSuite, or Adaptive Insights.
Proven experience working with non-finance stakeholders in Product, Engineering, and Operations to validate assumptions, gather business inputs, and present analysis.
Demonstrated track record of identifying financial trends or risks independently and escalating insights to leadership without prompting.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail in financial close processes, variance analysis, and reconciliation work.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and drive improvements in workflow efficiency and quality.
