Role overview

Cohere is a security-focused enterprise AI company building foundation models and end-to-end products for real-world business applications. This Forward Deployed Engineer role focuses on the North platform, Cohere’s AI workspace designed to help enterprises deploy AI securely while maintaining control over sensitive data. You will serve as a technical bridge between Cohere’s North product and enterprise clients across sectors including finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Key responsibilities

Lead complete deployment cycles of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, managing planning, configuration, testing, and rollout phases.
Work directly with enterprise IT teams to evaluate their infrastructure, identify security requirements, and review data management practices.
Design and implement customized deployment strategies that meet individual client needs while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to deployments and provide solutions quickly to reduce system downtime.
Execute at high velocity with high quality standards to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

Experience deploying enterprise software in private or hybrid cloud environments.
Proven expertise administering production Kubernetes clusters and working with Helm.
Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools such as Git.
Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus networking and virtualization skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers and enjoy direct client engagement.
Ability to adapt quickly and execute effectively when priorities and objectives shift.
