Role overview

Coinbase is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the money movement and controls strategy across its FinHub platform. As a core infrastructure team within Platform, FinHub manages every dollar and token that enters, leaves, or moves within Coinbase—spanning fiat transfers via ACH, wires, cards, and RTP, along with crypto movement across blockchain networks and internal ledger transfers. In this role, you will own the systems and standards that ensure all fund flows reach their correct destination safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

Develop and own a multi-year vision and strategy for money movement reliability and controls across both fiat and crypto, including service level definitions and resolution targets for each payment rail.
Build and maintain the controls infrastructure that determines which risk, compliance, and financial controls apply to each transaction, then verifies and confirms their execution before funds move.
Drive real-time detection capabilities and end-to-end tracing across payment rails, blockchain networks, controls systems, and the ledger to identify and resolve failures rapidly.
Scale control effectiveness through artificial intelligence agents that propose controls from product specifications, triage alerts before engineering involvement, and execute remediation within governed parameters.
Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and all internal product teams that move money to establish clear control ownership and accountability for fund flow management.

Requirements

Minimum ten years of product management experience with deep expertise in money movement, payments infrastructure, ledgering, or large-scale financial platforms.
Proven track record owning strategy for large-scale money movement or financial systems, including payment processing, transfers, ledgers, reconciliation, or reliability layers supporting these functions.
Deep technical fluency in distributed systems, event streaming, idempotency, double-entry ledgering, reconciliation, and the design of preventive and detective controls.
Demonstrated ability to establish standards that other teams must meet and enforce those standards across organizational boundaries within a highly regulated environment.
Responsible approach to generative AI, maintaining human oversight to produce business-ready outputs while driving measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
