Growth Engineer – Website
Role overview
Halter is transforming livestock grazing through technology that enables farmers and graziers to operate more productively and sustainably. As a Growth Engineer focused on the website, you’ll own the digital experience that converts traffic into leads for this mission-driven agtech company backed by top-tier investors.
Key responsibilities
- Own and build Halter’s website in Webflow, shipping landing pages, components, and conversion experiments rapidly.
- Lead the migration from Webflow to a custom, headless-CMS-backed site that scales across New Zealand, Australia, and the US.
- Drive conversion rate optimization by improving page experience, lead forms, load speed, technical SEO, and crawlability.
- Build personalized landing experiences for account-based marketing campaigns based on brief requirements.
- Run disciplined A/B tests on landing pages, analyze results, and implement winning variations.
- Collaborate with channel owners (Paid Social, Search, SEO, ABM) to diagnose and fix performance issues across the funnel.
- Use AI tools as a core part of your workflow to accelerate page builds, component generation, and test analysis.
Requirements
- Front-end engineering expertise with fluency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and component-driven development.
- Hands-on experience working with headless CMS platforms and the ability to own a website as a codebase beyond page builders.
- Proven track record moving a site or substantial portion from a hosted platform to a custom build without degrading SEO, performance, or pipeline.
- Demonstrated ability to run controlled experiments, interpret results objectively, and ship based on data rather than opinion.
- Comfort with modern AI tools including MCP servers and automation platforms like n8n.
- Accountability for conversion rate and lead quality metrics through the entire funnel, not just at form submission.
What makes this role worth considering
You’ll work on one of the highest-leverage activities in the company: every dollar spent on marketing flows through your website, and improvements directly multiply the output of every other channel. The role offers the rare opportunity to own a full technical migration while building in both no-code and custom environments, making it ideal for engineers who want to see immediate business impact alongside architectural growth.
