Role overview

Geotab is seeking a Head of Security Centre to lead the vehicle and asset security domain end to end, spanning theft prevention, stolen-asset tracking, and recovery operations. As a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, Geotab processes billions of data points daily to help businesses manage fleets more safely and sustainably, and this role sits at the centre of that mission.

Key responsibilities

Own the complete product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Security Centre while taking full accountability for business outcomes including vehicle recovery rates.
Drive end-to-end product discovery, requirements prioritization, and delivery, leveraging AI tools to maximize impact as a single-person domain owner.
Validate new business opportunities by sizing markets, mapping competitors, and testing customer willingness to pay before scaling.
Manage and maintain existing theft-prevention solutions including Starter Inhibit, immobilization, and relay-kit offerings to ensure product health and continuous operation.
Establish direct feedback channels with fleet customers, sales teams, and support functions to identify product gaps and refine features iteratively.
Define and track core metrics such as adoption, retention, time-to-value, NPS, and domain revenue to measure performance.
Collaborate with platform, segment, and solution domain leads to deliver a seamless experience from theft prevention through asset recovery, and present data-driven recommendations to department leadership.

Requirements

Ten to twelve years of experience in related fields, with at least seven years in product management, product engineering, or a customer-facing product role, preferably in telematics, vehicle security, or IoT.
Three or more years of demonstrated experience owning a product line or business outcome end to end, including building and validating business cases.
Five to eight years of leadership experience with a minimum of two years in a role with accountability for customer-facing outcomes and cross-functional coordination.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Domain knowledge of vehicle security and anti-theft technologies, including immobilization, starter inhibit, keyless access, and jamming/spoofing prevention, paired with deep customer empathy and P&L literacy.
AI nativity to redesign workflows around artificial intelligence, a self-starter mindset to own a domain hands-on, and ability to travel routinely, approximately ten to fifteen percent.
