Role overview

This 12-week summer internship places you within Coinbase’s Institutional Operations Solutions team, where you will support operational risk management and deliver solutions across the Institutional organization. You’ll engage with internal teams and institutional clients to solve real operational challenges while contributing to the scaling of Coinbase’s institutional business.

Key responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations for the Institutional Operations Solutions team while identifying and managing operational risk across compliance and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and risk management capabilities, providing recommendations grounded in data analysis.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to build technology solutions that support institutional operations at scale.
Analyze data sets and deliver recommendations using sound quantitative reasoning.
Collaborate with fellow interns on a group project addressing a real business problem, presenting findings and solutions to leadership.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in business, management, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability with capacity to identify second-order effects and streamline processes accordingly.
Proven willingness to engage cross-functional stakeholders and collaborate effectively in team settings.
Familiarity with finance or banking concepts, with interest in cryptocurrency and digital assets.
Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
