Role overview

APPLY is an Agentic Customer Experience partner working with leading consumer and entertainment brands including Arc’teryx, NFL, Lululemon, and Kraft Heinz. As a Principal Agentic Engineer, you will shape the technical vision for complex, enterprise-scale systems while directing teams of coding agents to deliver implementations at speed and scale. This is a principal-level position where hands-on engineering leadership and architectural ownership are equally important.

Key responsibilities

Own the technical vision and architecture across the full technology stack for complex enterprise systems.
Design and orchestrate coding agent teams to accomplish implementation work efficiently and at scale.
Translate ambiguous product and business goals into shipped, production-ready software solutions.
Mentor and raise the technical bar for engineers across the organization through hands-on leadership.
Work across frontend, backend, APIs, data layers, and cloud infrastructure to build cohesive, scalable solutions.
Contribute to the Forward Deployed AI Consultant (FDAIC) team on short-term client engagements that uncover growth opportunities and deliver near-term goals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including representation from CX, Strategy, and Product departments.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise across the full software stack, with the ability to work fluidly across frontend, backend, APIs, data layers, and cloud infrastructure.
Principal-level engineering experience with a track record of owning technical vision for large-scale systems.
Experience architecting, directing, or working with AI-native delivery models or agentic systems.
Strong mentorship and leadership capabilities with ability to elevate technical standards within an organization.
Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and translate business goals into technical solutions.
Based in Canada and available to work during hours aligned with Pacific or Eastern Time zones.
