Role overview

Lean Technologies is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead LeanX, the company’s cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure business. LeanX operates as a startup within Lean’s scale-up, leveraging the parent company’s infrastructure, licenses, and client base while building new products for remittance companies, exchange houses, and businesses moving money across borders. You would shape product direction from the early stages, working across regulation, engineering, product, and commercial considerations simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

  • Own product strategy for LeanX across all product lines, including cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure, determining what to build and the order of execution.
  • Convert strategy into clear specifications, priorities and roadmaps that the engineering team can execute, and make priority adjustments with full visibility into team capacity and trade-offs.
  • Build and scale a cross-border platform that competes with leading global payout networks, making corridor launches repeatable processes rather than one-off projects.
  • Automate treasury operations including pre-funding, liquidity management, foreign exchange and reconciliation to reduce manual handoffs.
  • Own the roadmap for stablecoin-native infrastructure including wallets as a service, on-ramps and off-ramps, and stablecoin acceptance and payouts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product questions from clients, the commercial team and the wider organization, allowing engineers to focus on development.
  • Ensure LeanX builds on Lean’s existing infrastructure appropriately rather than duplicating work, maintaining a clean unified platform across products and licenses.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of product management experience, including senior ownership of B2B or infrastructure products.
  • Background in cross-border payments, remittance, payouts, treasury, or stablecoin and digital asset infrastructure.
  • Strong technical fluency with comfort discussing APIs, system design and engineering trade-offs.
  • Proven track record taking products from early stage to scale, ideally within a startup or new business line.
  • Ability to work effectively in regulated environments and treat compliance and licensing as product considerations.
  • Excellent written communication skills, producing specifications and strategy documents independently.
  • Experience managing distributed engineering teams across time zones.

What makes this role worth considering

You would work as part of the LeanX leadership team while partnering closely with an engineering team based in Sarajevo and a commercial team in Dubai, with regular travel to both locations expected. Lean is a established financial infrastructure leader in the Middle East backed by prominent investors including General Catalyst and Sequoia, having processed billions of dollars and serving over 450 clients across the region.
