Role overview

Kpler is a global intelligence platform founded in 2014 that transforms complex market data into actionable insights for the commodities, energy, and maritime sectors. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in establishing a new Marine Insurance initiative, designing and delivering the data systems that underpin Kpler’s platform for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, process, and serve large-scale datasets to global customers.
Lead the architecture and implementation of cloud infrastructure to support the platform’s expanding data requirements.
Set technical direction for data architecture decisions across the Marine Insurance initiative.
Mentor and support peer engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices within the team.
Ensure the platform scales reliably as datasets grow and new product offerings are introduced.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Strong technical foundation in data engineering with demonstrated ability to lead architectural decisions.
Experience mentoring and supporting engineering peers.
Track record of building systems that scale reliably with increasing data volumes and complexity.
