Role overview

Jobber is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to join the Web Strategy team in Edmonton. The company helps small home service businesses manage their operations through software that handles quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payments. You will work on getjobber.com, a critical growth channel where potential customers discover and trial the product.

Key responsibilities

Build and ship production features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript on getjobber.com, including marketing pages and conversion-focused surfaces like pricing.
Contribute to and extend the shared component library and design system so the team can build faster on consistent, reusable foundations.
Ensure performance and accessibility are treated as first-class requirements, including Core Web Vitals, semantic markup, and fast page loads that support conversion.
Integrate with a headless CMS and build or consume APIs and services that power content-driven pages across the site.
Use AI coding tools and agents fluently to accelerate development while maintaining critical judgment about output quality and reliability.
Build and ship A/B and multivariate experiments quickly in partnership with stakeholders to support the test pipeline.
Set technical patterns and direction for the team, mentor other developers, and work with the Engineering Manager on standards and code quality.

Requirements

Deep expertise in front-end fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, accessibility, and web performance.
Several years of experience building and maintaining production applications.
Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and React, including modern rendering patterns, component architecture, and tooling.
Comfort working across the full stack, with familiarity building and integrating backend systems; full-stack experience is ideal.
Demonstrated ability to write well-tested, scalable, and well-organized code and drive consistent engineering practices through code review.
Ability to work fluently with AI-assisted development tools and collaborate with the team on improving AI-integrated workflows.
