Role overview

VOSKER is a North American leader in remote area surveillance, developing solar-powered, cellular-connected cameras and platforms that customers rely on daily. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be a key technical contributor to the evolution of the VOSKER and SPYPOINT web applications, taking on both hands-on development and a mentoring role within the team.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, tested, and reliable code across front-end and back-end systems.
Design and evolve APIs and services, and participate in architectural decisions that align technical solutions with business needs.
Prepare detailed test plans and write automated tests at the unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
Diagnose and resolve complex performance, security, and reliability issues in production environments.
Support and mentor junior and intermediate developers through pair programming, knowledge sharing, and constructive code reviews.
Define, document, and promote the team’s coding standards and best practices.
Act as a technical point of contact for non-technical stakeholders, explaining technical issues in accessible terms.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of full stack development experience, including demonstrated experience mentoring or supporting other developers.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React for front-end development.
Strong back-end development experience with Node.js and/or Go.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and caching systems like Redis.
Knowledge of system design principles including application architecture, APIs, data management, performance optimization, and the backend-for-frontend (BFF) model.
Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, as frequent interactions occur outside Quebec.
